Man's Best Friend

I painted this for Daily Paintworks new challenge. I was a bit anxious starting it because I have no experience with cars or cityscapes/landscapes. So I started in with my usual self talk, "don't think of it as a car, think of it as values, shapes and colors" but found myself thinking instead "think of it as a large, unusually shaped and rather shiny dog." So I did. Hence the title. It may not be my best work, but I'm mostly happy with it.

Carolyn, it is spectacular, you really captured the reflections of light on metal and glass, very nice.

Love the title! This piece stands out on my blog list. You have simplified the reflections so that the shape is defined. Nicely done. And I like the bits of red.
