The Porch, Sold

6x6 oil on Raymar canvas panel

This is my favorite spot to sit and read. In fact, I tell people that my porch is my favorite room in my house. I decided to paint it because I felt the need to stretch and try something different.

Wonderful high key palette. Your brushwork is very expressive. The composition is straight forward and sound making this a lovely 6x6, but could be any size.

There's so much about this painting I like: color combos, subject matter, brush strokes...well done.

The light you captured here is wonderful. Its so different from your pet work. Perhaps you should allow yourself time to paint more than just animals... This is lovely!

This is lovely. I like the sunny feel of the background, the pink color visible throughout, and the loose brush strokes. I would love to sit there and relax. Do more of these!
