What's Cooking, Sold

6x6 oil on canvas panel (raymar)

I'm starting my heavy work schedule, but I've gotten ahead on my painting, so I should be able to keep posting. The consequence of getting ahead, is that by the time I post something I painted several days ago, I can't remember what I was thinking when I painted it. So if my comments seem a little disconnected, that (and the deterioration of my brain cells from overwork and lack of sleep) will be my excuse. I think it's good to get the excuses done ahead of time as well as the paintings.

No excuses needed on this one, Carolyn. I've always been a sucker for layered values of green.
Hope the work goes smoothly and you get some rest.

I love the stripes and the hint of underpainting. Delightful.

The horizontal stripes are great and the tomato well it is devine and the sinuous celery next to it.

I really like the way the celery is painted in this one. Never realized how pretty the leaves were.

Whatever you're doing, you're doing it right because they are all so great! Love the stripes going horizontal in this one and the way the celery curls around so gracefully. Also, great use of the basically mono palette with the incredible bright tomato red. Heaven!

These are all beautifully constructed and painted. This particular one just jumped out at me. The red and green and the fabulously dynamic composition!
