Too Close for Comfort

Is that fork invading the tomato's personal space? When I set this up, I was really taken with the shadow of the fork on the plate.

Gorgeous color Carolyn, I'm a big color fan. Great light on the fork. I really like the stripe theme you have going in the backgrounds of your paintings also. Really fun!

Carolyn, I am really enjoying your tomato series, and the fork, so well done!

I think it's a fun "surprise" that you would expect the tomato to be the focal point, but because it's surrounded by strong color and because the dark and light on the fork make an abrupt transition, that becomes the focal point! Don't know if you intended that, but it makes for a much more interesting painting (in my humble opinion)
