Salsa Escapee, sold

6x6 oil on Raymar canvas panel

Just a couple more days of long hours working and I should be able to get back to my regular schedule. And then, like this pepper, I'll be free!

This is so attractive with the green striped tablecloth.

Somehow I think it was destined to be salsa in the end... After all, aside from being a painting subject, what more could a little hot pepper aspire to be? Its the best!

what a delightful painting! i really like the colors you used for the shadows of the peppers & plate - and the orangey silhouettes of the green stripes - very nice! thank you!

Love this piece Carolyn! I like how you take a set up, slightly change it and it is really a whole new painting!

I like the addition of the knife. There's something about the hard lines against the organic shapes fo the vegetables that really appeals to me. You nailed the rendering too. It looks really sharp!!!!

Thank everyone. Layne, I've painted this knife several time, and I think this was the best rendering.
