Risky Business

Here is another one of my larger works (11x14).
I won't be able to paint for a while. My brother-in-law is visiting for Jazz Fest and I had to put my studio away to use the guest room as a guest room.
I've got a couple of paintings I can post over the next couple of days to "stay in touch", so you will still have something new to look at, but not every day. I'm still saving my money to put up my studio, but it's going to take awhile. Every time I start to get close, something comes up.

Power Flower

I was working on a large painting today, and it was not going well. About half way through I wiped it. Rather than start back on it, I did this little one. Isn't it amazing how you can go from failure to success in such a short time. Well, I always say, every painting is a learning experience. I think I've learned something from both of the paintings I worked on today.
By the way, this grows in my front yard.

Three Little Maids

I've been wanting to paint this for a while now, and I finally got around to it. It's actually a vase, the opening is behind the heads, but I like it better as a figurine.
Now I really want to use it in a larger painting, but I'm not sure what I want to put with it. It's about 7 1/2 inches tall, so whatever I use can't be too large. Got any ideas?
