Strawberry Lohengrin

I've been exploring painting things that are white, or mostly white. It's not easy. I've done a few white flowers but I haven't been totally satisfied with any of them. (Some of them will never see the light of day.) It's the color of the shadows that is difficult, because they are not gray, but the color is very hard to discern. Even so, I had some fun with this.

I'm a Pepper, SOLD

This is very similar to one of my larger paintings. I liked it so much I wanted to do it again. I like the green and yellow, and I really like letting the shadows extend out over the edge of the plate shadow. One of the things I look for in setting up a painting is what the shadows are doing.
I have to apologize for not posting regularly. I fully intend to do so, but life keeps getting in the way. However, I continue to negotiate with my boss for fewer hours and I'm making progress. I think soon I will have more time for painting.
